Ba'al, a freshman at Fandom High, is one of many clones of a parasitic alien (in disguise) who has the goal of galactic (or universal) domination. He is arrogant, ruthless and ambitious. Or didn't you get that from the whole Galactic domination thing? Oh, and he has just the WORST God complex you'll ever see.
A bit more detail:
Ba'al is a Goa'uld. Meaning he is a human with a snake-like alien parasite in his head. The snake-like parasite controls all the actions of the human body. Ba’al is thousands of years old. Yes, thousands. He used to hang out on Earth, using humans for slaves and hosts as all of the powerful Goa’ulds have done.
Personality wise, Ba’al is sarcastic, casually superior, arrogant and cruel. His major personality weakness is his cruelty along with a tendency to over-estimate himself and think he is infallible. This is a common personality flaw among the Goa’uld, and Ba’al is no exception.
Ba’al is a bit smarter, and far more adaptable than your average Goa’uld. He understands that his species is no longer the dominant one in the galaxy, and is working to get that back, instead of just pretending that it never happened (like most of the Goa’uld did).
Ba’al is motivated by power. It is what he once had and what he wants to achieve again. He can never be truly satisfied with his own power, even with millions of people and hundreds of planets under his control he has always wanted more. Goa’uld have genetic memory instead of parents, so you could say that this is how he was raised. All Goa’uld have this ambitious streak. However, as stated previously, Ba’al has an adaptability that the other Goa’uld do not.
Ba'al at Fandom:
Meet one of Ba’als many clones (created in Season 9 canon through Season 10 thus far), this one who has decided to take a younger host. Since the symbiote in Ba’al’s brain can basically inhabit any human body he chooses, this clone of Ba’al’s wanted anonymity and chose a teenage body and decided to infiltrate the Tau’ri of Earth. Because he realizes that the Tau’ri are more likely to avoid death by the Ori than others, due to the Ancient device protecting Earth, he figures he will have a safe place to hide out, and a whole planet of people that he is smarter, and more technologically advanced than to impress.
Since there are no current Goa’uld testing protocols in place, by changing his host no one will know he is a Goa’uld. No one will suspect his background, so he will use his superior alien knowledge to rise unsuspected to a position of power on Earth. Or, that’s his plan, anyway.
